Cascade of Shades: A Creative Journey

Painting by Ragini Sinkar

Mumbai, April 30, 2025 –From April 21 to 27, 2025, the Jehangir Art Gallery in Kala Ghoda showcased "Cascade of Shades," a solo exhibition by Ragini Sinkar. This captivating event invited visitors to immerse themselves in a world where colors, tones, and textures blend seamlessly, offering a unique journey through imagination and perception.

The exhibition was inaugurated on April 21 at 3:00 PM by Hon. Pravin Darekar, Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, and Achyut Palav, master calligrapher and designer, who was recently awarded the Padmashree in 2025. Their presence added a touch of prestige to the event, highlighting the significance of Ragini Sinkar's work.

Ragini Sinkar's paintings are known for their dynamic quality, evolving with the viewer's perception over time. Each canvas in "Cascade of Shades" is built with translucent layers, subtle contrasts, and a keen eye for harmony. Her abstract compositions invite viewers to pause, reflect, and engage in a dialogue between color and soul.

Each canvas presents a unique encounter with intense passion frozen in time and space. At times, we gaze at molten lava dripping down a defiantly jubilant surreal setting. At times, we are gazing at a fiery earth either dancing in spark of life or burning in hell fire, through a wall of frosted glass.
