Mankind is part of nature just like plants, rocks, birds or other animals. Yet, with progress of time, blinded by the spirit of technology and selfish desires, mankind forgot its eternal home and ventured to conquer nature. In the end, human race is running the risk of being homeless instead of the uncontested master. After all, one can not be the master of oneself. It leads to split personality and hence madness. Modern man is in the pursuit of such doom for itself.
The exhibition of installation art by Artist Sharad Tarde and Shraddha Joshi Barde at Studio Kaleido is a sublime reminder of this grim prospect of today's world yet the beautiful and enigmatic pieces of art are not dark and depressing. The canvases and installation arts imply a message of hope and optimism.
The ray of hope reflects in the words of the artist himself - I imagine a moment where nature plants a seed within the human mind - a seed of awareness and empathy. Perhaps then, the thoughts in harmony with nature will take root. Love and care for the environment will once again blossom in our hearts.

Several artworks of Artist Sharad Tarde was on display. But one curious aspect about his artworks didn't escape my notice. Celebrated as an abstract expressionist, he had hardly ever displayed any painting with figurative hint. But the canvas conveying the central theme of this show was a beautiful blend of abstraction and vague impression of figures. Beside that, there had a been several ink on paper that stopped me on my track.

When asked, he said that as a part of nature, the artist undergoes transformation too.
The wall dedicated to the artworks of artist Shraddha Joshi-Barde was captivating too. Impressions of leaves and flowers through the process of Eco printing left a beautiful and enduring mark on canvas and paper. Her words remind of David Hockney's observation that each tree is like the face of a person. They are never the same.
Shraddha wrote in her artist-statement - Each print is unique, making every piece an unpredictable creation of nature.

Of course, there had also been one amazing piece of figurative abstract by Artist Suchita Tarde displaying her distinctive signature of style that is mysterious and festive at the same time as always.

Overall, it was a great intellectual-cum-visual treat to experience the artworks and interact with the artists.
